  • Raise the Woof - Expanding for the Animals We Love! --- UPDATE---

You may have recently heard that we have reached our Capital Campaign goal via various media outlets. We received a sizable contribution at the end of December that pushed our total raised over our goal of $600,000, set in the fall of 2012. We always planned to have all the money in-hand prior to building, and now we have done it. This is exciting news for the FDL Humane Society--our patience has paid off! This past fall, we began updating our plans with our architect since the original ones were over three years old. That process is almost complete. Once a final approval is given by the FDL Humane Society Board, plans will be sent out for bid, and then once a contractor is chosen we will be able to schedule the build!

While we have reached our initial goal, our campaign is not over. We will continue to focus on the shelter expansion, and finding the best, yet most cost-effective way, to build a better space for our animal population. THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us reach the $600,000 mark!!
